“Be at peace, child of God, be at peace”
It's been a little more than 3 weeks since the release of Goodnight, Child of God! It's been a wonderful time of celebration and rejoicing. Since the release, I’ve had the opportunity to hear inspiring stories about people’s experience reading the book and the connections made by sharing it with others. We had a great time at the book launch last month and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the event such a success!
Thank you to everyone who attended or supported the event in prayer!
As I shared at the event, every step along the book's journey, including the celebratory stage, has involved the contributions of many different people! It's been amazing to watch how the book has grown from the initial inspiration I had for a peaceful bedtime poem I could read with my children to a wonderfully illustrated book read by and to many Children of God as the day comes to an end.
It's humbling to be blessed with the opportunity to publish this book and be a small part of sharing the light of Christ in the world. All of this was possible because of the grace of God and the willingness of Olga and the Ancient Faith Publishing team to contribute their talents to the book. Glory to God!
A big thank you to my friends at Ginger Pop Balloon Co. for creating the balloon decorations for the event!
Thank you to our raffle sponsors!

Coming up next!
Please forgive the absence of a poem in today's newsletter. I hope to have some time to rest and write during the holidays after a particularly busy season in my professional life.
During this time, I am praying for inspiration to write a few poems on the themes of the Advent season! With God's help, I'll share one with you in two weeks, as we begin the approach towards the Nativity of Our Lord and the celebration of Christmas!
(Plus, I need to write the conclusion of the story of St. George and the Dragon!)
As a reminder, Sunday, November 12th at 6 p.m. CST, I'll be the guest on the live call-in show Everyday Orthodox on Ancient Faith. I'm looking forward to sharing about Goodnight, Child of God and the story behind the book!
The show will be live streamed on the Ancient Faith YouTube channel and on Ancient Faith Radio.
One Last Request
If you have read Goodnight, Child of God, would you please leave an honest review sharing your thoughts about the book on the Amazon website and Ancient Faith Store? My understanding is you are not required to purchase the book from these sources to leave a review.
Your review will help increase the visibility of the book and provide others a way to know whether they would enjoy it. Thank you for helping share the book in this way!
With gratitude,
Drew Chancey
p.s. A few people have asked, and the answer is - yes, I hope to publish more books! I have a few ideas and a draft I’m actively working on. More details to come!
